Introducing Royale 5

We are excited to announce the release of our latest software version, Royale 5 as a free update. This new version is packed with several enhancements that make it faster and more efficient, than ever before. We also made changes to our Depth API, to improve data quality and processing of our latest 3D ToF cameras, like the flexx2.

Royale 5 now incorporates a significantly improved and optimized processing pipeline for our 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) cameras. This results in even better data quality for our users, making it easier to capture and analyze 3D data accurately and efficiently. With the optimized processing pipeline, Royale 5 provides better filtering and segmentation of the 3D pointclouds, generated by our cameras, resulting in more accurate and precise depth measurements. This improvement allows you to capture and analyze 3D data with even greater detail and accuracy.

The combination of our 3D ToF cameras and the optimized processing pipeline in Royale 5 also opens up new possibilities for applications in fields such as robotics, automation, and security. The improved accuracy and reliability of the data provide the foundation for more sophisticated algorithms and workflows, enabling users to develop more advanced and capable systems.

We're thrilled to offer these improvements in data quality for your project and are confident that you will appreciate the benefits that they provide.

In addition to the improvements made to Royale 5, we have also made changes to our API. These changes require users to update their project code to ensure compatibility with Royale 5. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we believe that these changes are necessary to ensure the best possible experience for our users. The good news is that these changes significantly improve the processing capabilities of our API, making it faster and more efficient than ever before. This means that Royale 5 is now optimized to run smoothly on devices with limited compute power budgets, such as the Raspberry Pi.

We encourage all our users to update their project code to take advantage of these new improvements. We also make special Helper Functions available for you to update your code. If you have any questions or need assistance with the update, please don't hesitate to contact our support team. We're always here to help you get the most out of our software and API. Find detailed information of the API changes here.
